Lilies

A duet about loving something untouchable, sung with Mercy Necromancy. It opens on possession asked for out loud, tell me I am no one else’s but yours, wedding doves and leather gloves, being watched while undressing as proof of being wanted. The beloved is an angel, nothing can touch them, and wanting to hold what cannot be touched is the whole ache.

Then the harm to come gets admitted. She knows she is going to hurt this angel and lose them, and God, she does not want to. A second voice answers from the other side, lilies growing all over the room, blooming when the beloved comes in, asking to be seen through completely.
