Genesis retold to its own failure. In the beginning God creates the heavens and the earth, darkness hangs over the deep, and when the word calls for light, no light comes. Hanging in that dark she makes the vow herself. God will not protect you, no, but I will. Then the darkness catches fire and takes them both, a creation myth spoken more than sung, ending in flame.
