Misuse Oh

A crooked apology sung from the middle of the road outside his old house. She told him from the start that she disappears when it gets cold, and he found the one thing that keeps her, a body to hold. Drunk and missing what he did for her at her lowest, she says sorry for going crazy, mostly so he knows.

Then the intimacy curdles. Pictures taken while he sleeps, leftovers on the table, strangers on the TV, and finally sneaking out while he is asleep because he has become the thing she is most afraid of. The missing and the fear sit side by side, and neither wins.
